Our story began at the Stowe Free Library in 2014. Molly, the Founder and Director, partnered with the Stowe Free Library by offering free after-school Theatre classes to grade school children in the Fall of 2014. Kiddos fell in love with this initial offering and over that first year, offered the first-ever Stowe Children’s Theatre Camp! Molly continued to teach at the Library for several years. Since then, Stowe Children’s Theatre has sought out partnerships at The Current, and even in the Stowe Middle and High School. Stowe Free Library will always hold a special place for Molly as the first space she taught, as and shared this idea of hers. Stowe Children’s Theatre is proud to partner with folks who want more opportunities for our Vermont children to participate in this performance art. Molly is currently pursuing a Master’s in Theatre Education. The benefits of Theatre as a Performance Art are many! During one production, class, or camp, student actors and creators will enhance their emotional intelligence, strengthen their literacy skills, make new friends, build confidence, as well as strengthen time management, and even reduce anxiety, and MOST importantly find BELONGING! The performance is wonderful and fleeting. What stays with your students when you invest in a class or camp, are the skills learned, and memories they made along the way! Feel free to reach out to Molly @ stowechildrenstheatre@gmail.com if you are interested in supporting Stowe Children’s Theatre!
