Molly Mitchell

Molly Mitchell

Founder + Director

Molly founded Stowe Children’s Theatre in a effort to bring Theatre to children in Lamoille County. Molly is passionate about providing children with an opportunity and safe place to practice and perform this performance Art. Molly is currently in Grad school working towards an Endorsement in Theatre Arts. She is THRILLED to be joined by a phenomenal creative team of talented teaching artists and offering camps again!

Stacey Landon

Stacey Landon

Choreographer

Stacey Landon was born and raised in Idaho. She has danced for more years than she can count. She attended the University of Utah, majoring in ballet with a musical theater emphasis. She has also taken dance classes at Idaho State University. She owned and operated Best Dance Company for 20 + years, teaching tap, ballet, and jazz. She loves teaching, and she keeps doing so with both children and adults. Her hobbies include, hiking, gardening, cooking, and reading. Especially  American history. She and her husband Michael have 3 children, and 10 grandchildren. She is excited to be part of Stowe Children’s Theatre once again. It feels like coming home.

Kat Gabaree

Stage Manager

Kat is excited to be jumping back into the world of youth theatre with this team. She studied Theatre Arts, concentrating on Stage Management and Directing, at Castleton State College in the early 2000s, was the company Stage Manager for Rutland Youth Theatre from 2005-2009, and was accepted into The Juilliard School Professional Internship Program for Stage Management for the 09-10 school year. Returning to VT in late 2010, Kat stage managed, directed and produced a few productions with LCP and STG before starting a family and shifting her focus for a bit. She is so happy to be returning to both theatre and working with young people this summer!

Hattie has been performing in Stowe Children’s Theatre Camps and classes most of her life! She is passionate about theatre as a performance art. She has been in middle and high school productions, and is thrilled to join the creative team of Greatest Showman and share her love and knowledge with the next generation!

Dave Gabaree

Dave Gabaree

Technical Director

Dave has been involved in Vermont theatre for 20+ years. He began doing shows with LCP at 16, did theatre all 4 years at PA, attended Castleton State College for Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting and Directing, was the Technical Director for Rutland Youth Theatre from 2007-2009, continued acting with LCP as well as STG up until the beginning of the pandemic, served a term on the board at STG, served on the board of the Vermont Drama Council from 2016-2022 , and has been the Director of the Peoples Academy Stage Company for the past 13 years. Dave is excited for this new opportunity and to join such a great artistic team.

Dana LaClair

Dana LaClair

Music Director

Dana teaches choral and general music at Stowe Elementary School. She also directs the annual fifth grade musical. She has music-directed, played piano in the pit band and performed onstage with Lamoille County Players, Stowe Theatre Guild and Lyric Theatre. Her most recent performances include Matilda the Musical, Shrek the Musical and The Wizard of Oz. This April she’ll be performing in Lyric Theatre Company’s The Little Mermaid at the Flynn!

Anna Blackburn

Head of Marketing and Co-Director

Anna is a senior at Montpelier High School. She started working as a stage manager through MHS’ Masque Theatre, and has stage managed professional shows including Lost Nation Theater’s production of The Prom, Dirt Road Theater’s Cry It Out, and Ordinary Days at the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub. Anna began directing with the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub’s 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She is the head of marketing at Stowe Children’s Theatre and a business intern at the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub. This spring, she will be stage managing Hadestown with MHS and U-32, and producing and directing Ophelia Lives! at the Hub. Anna loves the joy that comes with being a part of any production, and she can’t wait for this summer!

Stefanie Weigand

Stefanie Weigand

Music Director

Stefanie Weigand (she/her) is the Executive Director of Music-COMP, a non-profit organization that promotes creativity and teaches composition to both students and teachers. Currently on the voice faculty at UVM, she has been teaching vocal music in various capacities for the past twenty years and received a Masters of Music Education from Castleton University. Stefanie conducts the new Me2/ Choir in Burlington, VT and enjoys working as a presenter, clinician, and guest conductor across the region. She has served in various leadership roles, including Chair of the NAfME Council for Choral Education, President and Membership Chair of the VT chapter of ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and as ACDA’s Eastern Region Youth R&R Chair. After completing her BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College, Stefanie toured nationally with a Children’s Theatre Company and worked on stage and off as a performer, pit musician, and music director in New York. Since moving to Vermont, she has appeared as a vocalist, pianist, and music director for various organizations including TURNmusic, the Vermont Philharmonic, Stowe Theatre Guild, Lyric Theatre, Apex Ensemble, the Green Mountain Mahler Festival, The Champlain Philharmonic, Burlington Civic Symphony Orchestra, the Green Mountain Opera Festival, and more. This fall, she can be seen in the role of Miss Rona Peretti in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at the new Montpelier Performing Arts Hub in Montpelier, VT. In March, 2023 she premiered a brand new work by VT Composer Kyle Saulnier with the Champlain Philharmonic, and can be heard on the Saturn People’s Sound Collective’s self-titled, debut album. Stage Manager

Natalie Remick started her high school theater career by working on tech for MASQUE Theater’s Little Mermaid in her sophomore year. She assistant stage managed her junior year for MASQUE Theater’s Urinetown. She became co-stage manger later that year for MASQUE Theater’s Twelfth Night. Natalie was the sole stage manger for the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub. She is currently co-stage managing MASQUE 32’s Hadestown Teen Edition.
